  1. Victory in Jesus

We sang this hymn Monday night at Bible Study Fellowship. I love the chorus in this song. It was incredibly powerful as a room full of men sang a cappella. Take a moment to dwell on these amazing words. O victory we have in Jesus.

    O victory in Jesus,
    My Savior, forever.
He sought me and bought me
    With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him,
And all my love is due Him,
    He plunged me to victory,
    Beneath the cleansing flood.

  2. TAKEN CAPTIVE (repost)

“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.” Colossians 2:8

Oh how prevalent such hollow and deceptive philosophies are today, even within our churches. I am concerned that such philosophies are accepted and followed due to popularity or the appearance of reasonableness.  Whether disguised as “new generation” or traditions of man passed down from long ago; be aware of such philosophies, teachings, and ideologies that are based on human reasoning and not divine revelation. These principles of the world are void of truth, deceptive, and take us captive. Challenge philosophies of man and ideologies of this world. Look to the scriptures. Base philosophies, teachings, and ideologies on Christ and Christ alone.

Without vision, there is no relational, financial, or moral compass. Consequently, they often make foolish decisions. Decisions that rob them of their dreams.”

  5. Beards, Pancakes, and Ladies

I don’t like to write about myself (goes hand-and-hand with not taking compliments very well), so I asked Andrea for suggestions for my “about me” section on my web site…this is what she came up with…

“I am Mark. I am a Gamecock fo’ life. I heart Jesus. And Gamecock pancakes. Don’t know what those are? Welp, I guess you better follow AndreaPasquan and then you can find out. I grow a different kind of beard and/or ‘stache everyday to see what causes the ladies to flock. Oh and I design stuff. That’s why I have this website in the first place. So if you need a flyer for your clam bake, holla at your boy.”

    I think she nailed it…haha.

    What do you think?

9/11 design I had to turn around very quickly.  I think it turned out pretty good.  Fairly simple design. What do you think?

  15. This design was inspired from a sermon by John Mark McMillian that I heard last night at Queen City Church. His talk was on the internal struggle between the Flesh and the Spirit.  The key to living in the Spirit…love.  Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8a).

As always, any feedback on the design (good or bad)?
